Google CEO Sundar Pichai has revealed new policy that will require all employees working on company campuses to be vaccinated against COVID-19, making it the first Big Tech company to announce such a mandate. “Getting vaccinated is one of the most important ways to keep ourselves and our communities healthy in the months ahead,” Pichai wrote in a letter sent to Google employees on Wednesday morning. “Anyone coming to work on our campuses will need to be vaccinated,” Pichai continued. Pichai said Google would first roll out this policy within weeks in the U.S. and then expand it to other regions in the coming months. The implementation would vary depending on local conditions and regulations. Exceptions would be for “medical or other protected reasons,” Pichai added.
