Cold-Warding Honey Ginger Tea (Recipe)

As flu season is upon us, keep your immunity in high spirits with this easy hot tea recipe borrowed from age-old Chinese and Korean cold remedies. A mixture of ginger, lemon, and raw honey combines a number of natural anti-inflammatory qualities that heal the body from the inside out. Ingredients 3-inch piece of ginger, chopped into 1/2-inch chunks 1 lemon, seeded and chopped into 1-inch chunks 2 C raw honey Directions This is a great way to reuse a big jar of honey as it gets to the halfway point—simply stir in the chopped ingredients with the remaining honey and use a heaping spoonful at a time per cup of hot water. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. The tea concentrate may turn runny from the lemon juice and separate, requiring you to simply stir the jar before use.
