New York Subway Shooting Suspect Indicted on Terrorism Charges

A U.S. grand jury has indicted a man for the April 12 attack on the New York subway that ended up injuring 23 people. He’s known to have made racist comments against various groups in the past while propagating black nationalist ideologies.
Frank James, 62, was indicted on May 7 by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, which charged him with a terrorist attack and other violence against a mass transportation system. One count of discharging a firearm during a crime of violence was also added to the charges. If James is convicted of the terrorism charges, he could end up spending life in prison.
