Michelle Steel Pushes House Resolution to Designate Aug. 24 Kobe Bryant Day

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—Rep. Michelle Steel (R-Huntington Beach) has introduced a congressional resolution to designate Aug. 24, 2021, as “Kobe Bryant Day” to honor the late Lakers star, who died in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26, 2020.  “Kobe Bryant used his platform to inspire millions and help kids around the world achieve success and strive for greatness. On Aug. 24 we should remember Kobe, celebrate his life, and encourage the next generation to dream big just like Kobe did,” Steel said.  Bryant lived in Orange County, within the 48th Congressional District represented by Steel.
