New emails show that scientists close to Anthony Fauci undermined White House efforts to investigate the origins of the Coronavirus. These scientists attempted to insert the Natural Origins theory into an early investigation by the National Academy of Sciences which was being conducted at the request of a Trump White House official. But their efforts appear to have been met with some unanticipated resistance. When their narrative shaping failed, it resulted in the sudden postponement of the infamous Lancet letter that condemned Wuhan lab conspiracy theories. It also prompted a sudden, unsolicited reach out by British pharmaceutical trust director Jeremy Farrar to one of the heads of the National Academy of Sciences.
