The minority Liberal government will be able to remain in power until 2025 thanks to an agreement reached with the NDP. Trudeau said his government has made commitments on increasing spending on health care, including establishing a national pharmacare and dental plan, in order to secure the NDP support. The Liberals and the NDP share a number of priorities, such as on housing affordability, climate change policies, and reconciliation with First Nations.
